Warrior Teaching Days

Warrior Teaching Days is a campuswide opportunity for you as a Wayne State University (WSU) instructor to attend a colleague's course and engage in informal conversations about teaching. The week is meant to spark conversations about teaching, give WSU instructors the rare opportunity to sit in on each others classes, and explore interesting topics and teaching styles that may be within or outside of your own academic department. Opportunities to observe teaching in traditional, hybrid, and online environments will be available to you.

Participation happens in two ways:

1) You can open one or two of your class sessions to welcome colleagues to observe you teach (you get to determine which class session you open up and how many observers to welcome).

Registration to host is now closed

2) You can observe a class yourself by choosing from a list of classes where the instructor has agreed to welcome visitors. Use the links below to find courses that instructors have opened up for observation. Space is limited so register early!

Monday Sept 25th Sessions | Tuesday Sept 26th Sessons | Wednesday Sept 27th Sessions
Thursday Sept 28th Sessions | Friday Sept 29th Sessions

"It was exciting to have people come to class and see what I was doing.  It helped me to reflect on my teaching and was useful for sharing ideas with other instructors on campus." - WSU Associate Professor & Classroom Host

"Seeing the innovative ways my colleagues lead their courses and interact with students was a highlight of attending a class" - WSU Lecturer & Visiting Colleague
