Rachel Bowens
Biography
Hi, I’m Rachel Bowens and I am an Educational Development Specialist for the Office of Teaching and Learning. I have spent my entire professional career in some realm of education. Before joining the OTL, I taught elementary school, middle school, and worked in mortgage/health insurance corporate training. I consider myself a lifelong learner whose thirst for knowledge will never be quenched.
As an educational developmental specialist, I collaborate and consult with instructors to assist with anything they may need help with. I also work closely with my OTL colleagues to help create and deliver content that may help instructors with providing the best educational experience possible for their students. I try to lead with kindness and patience in every conversation and interaction I have, so please never hesitate to reach out.
When I am not working at the OTL, you can find me cross-stitching, playing video games (mainly the Sims), and loving on my dogs Nacho and Bo.
