The Office for Teaching and Learning (OTL) offers instructors support in documenting their teaching development efforts and in developing and updating their teaching portfolios. Teaching portfolios serve multiple purposes, including: an instrument for self-reflection and goal setting; documentation for a job search; and, evidence useful for recognition/awards and promotion. Especially for Graduate Teaching Assistants planning to pursue an academic career, portfolios will likely become part of an annual review process. OTL offers portfolio related workshops and individual consultations. We are available in person, by phone, or virtual meeting spaces (e.g., Skype or Blackboard Collaborate).
